Director of Programs & Community Engagement

What You Will Do

Director of Programs will advance the mission of the Society of St Vincent de Paul across the Diocese of Richmond through collaboration and partnerships with local SVDP conferences, diocesan staff and other local leaders.


The position is responsible for researching, planning and implementing the Council programs across the Diocese of Richmond. The essential functions of the position include program management, new program development, volunteer management and community outreach. This role reports directly to the Executive Director


The Director of Programs will also work to provide a strategic program plan for the Council aligned with Catholic Social Teaching.


What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited 4 year college or university
  • 3-5 years experience with a non-profit organization or church ministry
  • Experience managing and working with volunteers
  • Grant writing experience is a plus
  • Understanding of Catholic Social Teaching


Salary will be commensurate with experience. Health and retirement benefits are included.
