To help our neighbors make better financial decisions to live an independent life.

Dear Vincentians,
I am pleased to kick off the new Financial Coaching Program, with St. Vincent de Paul Richmond. At the recent Living and Caring as a Vincentian Event, I had the pleasure of introducing this new program. Your response to this program and what it should include was overwhelming. The Power Point presentation and the Financial Budget Tool I spoke of are provided below.
At the event, I discussed the wonderful ways Vincentians currently help our neighbors in need. We bring relief to a seemingly huge current crisis. If we want to truly help our neighbors in need escape the recurring financial hardships, financial coaching can be a critical source of help. Through education, we can help steer our neighbors in need into a more manageable financial future. Your feedback produced some meaningful concepts and potential next steps for training both Vincentians and neighbors in need.
After reviewing your feedback, Dan, Taylor, and I thought a periodic communication to Vincentians about financial coaching, along with information and tools to help you help our neighbors in need, would be a good place to start. In this way, we can help you keep current on financial concepts and know where the Financial Coaching Program is headed. Thus, our first V-Note$ (Vincentian Note$) has now been established!
We are always willing to hear what you have to say and recommend, so please don’t be shy.
Our Financial Coaching Program Purpose is simple: To help our neighbors in need make better financial decisions to live an independent life.
May God bless our Vincentians and neighbors in need,
John Marklin
